How to Get Rid of “Trump must go to jail” Anxiety

Is Trump a sideshow to keep us all distracted?

Donald Trump as a dictator

And just when you think he will finally be busted, he isn’t. The endless repetition of this eternal cycle of torture creates collective anxiety the likes no one has ever seen, at least for those who still believe in respecting laws. Just give it up. Give it all up and embrace acceptance and healing because the man will never go to jail. I repeat the man will never go to jail.

Let go of your hatred and wish harm on someone. These negative emotions will eat your soul and make you sick.

What political authority do I hold to prove this painful conclusion? None. But you don’t need me; look for yourself. We don’t know what is at work and why nothing ever happens to Donald Trump. However, we know something is at work because nothing has ever happened to Donald Trump. Let me try to explain.

There is a time when the quack and walk like a duck theory becomes a mathematical certainty. Let’s examine some facts that support my idea of Trump’s infallibility.

From the beginning, we adopted false security and assumptions of “no, it can’t happen in America.” No way Trump will ever be the president. That was our first collective enormous mistake. Once elected, we should have realized, like a rock thrown to our faces — that the paradigm had been changed.

How many times have the dead turned on their graves? That should have been another warning sign. Greatest hits like The Muslim ban, pussy grabbing, Steve Bannon, he was the swamp he said he was draining, and for every political absurd, some intelligent dead person has turned in their grave. That was another clue that times have changed.

But then came the endless history list of Donald’s scams—too many to list in this humble post. The lawsuits didn't go anywhere. We became used to it—numb. A double-down showdown followed each new scam, which spoke mountains of how much trouble we’re about to be in.

Let’s look at Trump’s presidency. Donald Trump has been credibly accused of committing at least 48 criminal offenses while he was serving as President of the United States or campaigning for that office. A staggering number of offenses and not a single indictment. How is that even possible?

Then came Robert Muller’s investigation of Russia’s engagement in extensive attacks on the U.S. election system in 2016 and Donald Trump’s obstruction of justice. Hopes were high that this was it.

But the Muller report did not produce evidence of Trump’s wrongdoing contrary to widespread expectation. This investigation marks the beginning of a series of failed attempts to bring Mr. Trump to any kind of justice. But Trump is a gift that keeps giving.

It almost seems that Mr. Trump’s strategy to stay above the law is to keep breaking the law at a back-breaking speed so that the legal system is tripped and stunned by its inability to move quickly and, therefore, move forward. And it works, but some other forces are at play here.

Let’s look at Mr. Trump’s two impeachments. The only president in the history of the United States to be impeached twice. In the first impeachment, The House adopted two articles of impeachment against Trump: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The Senate acquitted Trump of these charges on February 5, 2020.[2]

The second impeachment The House of Representatives of the 117th U.S. Congress adopted one article of impeachment against Trump of “incitement of insurrection”, stating that he had incited the January 6 attack of the U.S. Capitol. These events were preceded by attempts by Trump to overturn the 2020 presidential election, as well as his pushing of voter fraud conspiracy theories on his social media channels before, during, and after the election.[4]

Let this second impeachment sink in for a moment. The president of the United States has incited an insurrection to halt the peaceful transition of power and remain in office.

However, none of the impeachments have removed Mr. Trump from office. Wait, there’s more.

Not satisfied, Mr. Trump retreats to his country club in Miami and takes hundreds of boxes filled with highly classified and top secret documents. In the face of the gravity and importance of these papers, a raid on his property should have been executed immediately after their removal. However, the government has left them with Mr. Trump for over twenty months.

Why the DOJ didn’t repossess these documents immediately is a mystery to me and a clue of how toothless our government is in prosecuting individuals like Mr. Trump. Or, there must be something behind it that we can’t quite see.

But there is just so much BS one can take. When Donald Trump was allowed a free card special master absurdity, it was all clear to me that we were being dupped all along.

By now, it is clear that Mr. Trump is like a giant cradle of heavy bricks lifted by a crane tossed in the ocean. As the cradle hits the waters, it does not sink, and everyone thinks it is a miracle. There is no miracle. The cradle doesn't sink because it is supported by something underneath.

Mr. Trump is a world-class scam artist with Houdini production values; I give him that. But his resilience to the law doesn’t ride on his merits alone. He is well supported by powers that want to see him succeed.

Because half of America sympathizes with his style, is he a celebrity that will deliver and validate the unresolved grievances of the old South? Are people fascinated with his National Inquirer production values? The big money that we don’t know are they changing things in the background without anyone seen? OK, these are my conspiracy theories; I’m sure you have yours too.

They want to live in Trump’s fantasy world because it appeals to them. They are hopeful that there is a way to authoritarianism because only with hard-liners will things be in shape. The failure of Trump is the failure of their dreams. But this is not just one group of conservatives wanting their revenge. Trump is enormous racist power in politics.

Lower your expectations and reduce your anxiety because Trump is American as apple pie. He is not above the law, but something or someone is lowering the bar, so the rules remain below him.
